PRIVACY POLICY
Last Updated & Effective: October 1, 2026 | Document Version: 2.1.0
🛡️ Our Absolute Guarantee: Zero Tracking & Zero Data Harvesting
Neurostack Technologies is committed to uncompromising user privacy. We collect NO personal information, harvest NO telemetry, and track NOTHING. The application operates entirely offline without user accounts, analytics dashboards, third-party user profiling, or remote server synchronization. Your gameplay data stays 100% on your device at all times.
1. Scope, Governance & Developer Identity
This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile software application titled Minesweeper: Classic Puzzle (package identifier: com.neurostackos.minesweeper), developed and distributed globally by Neurostack Technologies (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), accessible via Google Play and our official game portal at minesweeper.neurostackos.com.
This privacy declaration transparently sets forth the operational architecture of the game, specifying the exact nature of data processed locally on client hardware, third-party software development kits (SDKs) utilized for ad rendering, and our adherence to international digital privacy standards including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and the United States Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
2. Fundamental Zero-Data Architectural Principle
Traditional mobile games transmit user coordinates, device identifiers, gaming durations, contact books, and behavioral funnels to cloud-based telemetry servers. Neurostack Technologies strictly repudiates this surveillance-first paradigm. Our game has been architected from the bare metal up to respect player sovereignty:
- No User Account System: You are never asked to enter an email address, create a password, provide a phone number, or authenticate via OAuth providers (such as Google Sign-In, Apple ID, or Facebook).
- No Behavioral Telemetry: We do not deploy Firebase Analytics, AppsFlyer, Adjust, Mixpanel, Segment, Flurry, or any behavioral tracking libraries. Your taps, solve durations, tile selections, and session counts are never broadcast over the network.
- No Background Location or Geofencing: Minesweeper does not request or access GPS location, coarse cellular network location, Wi-Fi SSID logs, or IP-based geolocation data.
- No Sensor or Hardware Intrusions: The application requires zero access to camera hardware, audio microphones, photo galleries, file system directories outside the sandbox, or device biometric sensors.
3. Automated On-Device Simulated Leaderboard System
A central feature of Minesweeper is the competitive defusal leaderboard where players measure their mine-clearing speeds against competitor benchmark times across Easy (9×9), Medium (16×16), and Hard (30×16) difficulties.
This leaderboard is 100% automated and calculated entirely locally on your physical device.
- Autonomous Procedural Benchmarks: All competitor entries, callsigns, rankings, and times displayed in the leaderboard are procedurally synthesized on-device by local mathematical algorithms. No remote scores are downloaded from cloud databases, and no multiplayer servers exist.
- Local Player Nickname: If you specify a personalized defusal squad callsign or player nickname, that string is stored exclusively within your local hardware’s encrypted
SharedPreferences container. It is never transmitted across the network, never mirrored to cloud infrastructure, and never visible to other players.
- Zero Competitive Snooping: Because the entire scoring engine runs locally, your times cannot be monitored, collected, or audited by third parties.
4. Complete Inventory of On-Device Data Storage
All state information required to sustain game continuity is stored strictly inside the sandboxed private application directory assigned to com.neurostackos.minesweeper by the Android operating system. We document this data inventory comprehensively:
- Audio & Haptic Feedback Configurations: Boolean preferences recording whether real-time sound effects and tactile actuator vibrations are enabled or silenced.
- Display & Theme Customizations: Boolean preferences selecting between Tactical Obsidian Dark Theme and Classic Light Mode, as well as high-contrast colorblind accessibility palettes.
- Gameplay Safety Protocols: Boolean preference for the First-Click Safety Protocol (which computationally guarantees the first opened tile and all 8 surrounding neighbors are mine-free).
- Mission Statistics & High Scores: Integer records of total games commenced, total defusals achieved, current win streaks, max win streaks, and personal record completion times (measured in integer seconds) for each board difficulty.
- Tactical Vision & Hint Inventory: An integer balance of remaining Tactical Vision charges (defaulting to 3), depleted upon activation and replenishable via optional rewarded video ads.
- Ad Frequency Timestamps: Local millisecond timestamps recording daily ad views. These timestamps exist solely on-device to enforce strict daily maximums (maximum 2 banners, 3 interstitials, and 4 rewarded ads per 24-hour cycle) to safeguard user experience.
None of the above parameters contain personally identifiable information (PII). Any user can instantaneously wipe this entire dataset by utilizing the in-game “PURGE MISSION DATA” button located in Settings or by clearing application data via Android OS Settings.
5. Third-Party Advertising (Google AdMob SDK)
Minesweeper is provided free of charge without mandatory subscriptions or microtransaction paywalls. To offset ongoing operational costs, the application integrates the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob).
Data Processed by Google AdMob
When internet connectivity is available, the Google AdMob SDK may automatically collect and process certain non-sensitive technical telemetry as defined in Google’s Privacy Policy:
- Device Identifiers: Standard mobile advertising identifiers (such as the Google Advertising ID / GAID) for the sole purpose of frequency capping, attribution verification, and combating invalid ad click fraud.
- Diagnostics & Crash Metrics: Coarse performance indicators such as ad loading latency and SDK crash stacks to ensure stability.
- IP Address: Processed ephemerally to facilitate transmission of media assets and determine broad country-level geolocation for regional ad compliance.
Ad Personalization & Opt-Out Controls
Neurostack Technologies does not sell, license, trade, or monetize player advertising identifiers. Players retain comprehensive control over advertising identifiers through their device operating system:
- You can reset your Advertising ID or opt out of personalized interest-based advertising at any time on Android by navigating to: Settings > Google > Ads > Reset advertising ID / Delete advertising ID.
- When opted out, Google AdMob serves contextual, non-personalized advertising without profiling your digital behavior.
6. Tactical Vision Powerup Assessment
Minesweeper includes an in-game powerup titled Tactical Vision, allowing players to briefly visualize all concealed naval mines for two seconds. This feature functions entirely within the local Dart and Flutter runtime environment:
- No board matrices, mine distributions, or player solver moves are transmitted over the network.
- If a player elects to replenish Tactical Vision charges by watching a rewarded advertisement, the transaction is handled on-device via AdMob reward callback events without transmitting user identity.
7. Children’s Privacy (COPPA & Global Safeguards)
Protecting the digital safety of young players is of paramount importance to Neurostack Technologies. Minesweeper complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States and equivalent global youth protection frameworks.
- We do not solicit, gather, or store personal information from children under 13 years of age (or under 16 in the European Union).
- Because our game engine requires no registration, handles zero chat communications, and has no cloud storage capabilities, it is intrinsically safe for users of all ages.
- All ad requests initiated by the application are tagged to comply with Google Play’s Families Policy, ensuring that age-inappropriate ad creative is strictly blocked.
8. International Regulatory Compliance: GDPR, CCPA/CPRA & LGPD
European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / UK GDPR)
For users situated within the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom, Neurostack Technologies serves as the data controller regarding local application logic. Under GDPR principles of data minimization and privacy-by-design:
- Right to Access & Portability: Because we operate zero remote databases, we maintain no central records of your identity or gameplay. Your data resides solely on your physical device.
- Right to Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”): You can completely eliminate all saved data at any moment by tapping the “PURGE MISSION DATA” button in the Settings screen or by uninstalling the application.
- Lawful Basis for Processing: Ad serving by Google AdMob relies on legitimate interest for fraud prevention and user consent where mandated for personalized advertising.
California Consumer Privacy Act & CPRA (California Residents)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
- We do NOT sell personal information.
- We do NOT share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- We do NOT collect sensitive personal information as defined by California statute.
9. Device Permissions Explained
Minesweeper requests only the minimum operating system permissions strictly required for baseline operation:
android.permission.INTERNET: Required exclusively by Google Mobile Ads to fetch ad creative when connected to the internet.
android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Used by the ad SDK to verify whether Wi-Fi or cellular connectivity is available before initiating requests.
android.permission.VIBRATE: Utilized by the local game engine to generate tactical haptic pulses during tile flaggings and detonations.
No dangerous, runtime-sensitive permissions (such as Contacts, Storage, Camera, Microphone, SMS, or Location) are ever requested or declared in our application manifest.
10. Revisions to this Privacy Declaration
Neurostack Technologies may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect modifications in legal requirements, operating system security updates, or game features. Any changes will be published directly to this page with an updated “Last Updated” revision timestamp. We advise players to periodically review this document for any updates.
11. Corporate Contact & Legal Inquiries
